So i was excited to see a 1988 in great condition with a shiney luster from circulation
Most were very beat and tarnished that i found in the past
I looked at this one close and noticed what looked like something in the 4th colum over . The coin was in great shape for its age but being circulated thought it might be some dirt or something stuck to the coin
so i took some warm soapy water and gently whiped it off to remove forgien object ontop.
Well it didnt come off. I took a few pics as i did with the other 1988 cents
to look at the initials .
this one is clearly visable to the naked eye and you dont need magnification to see it.
Here is a few pics
The area I am refering to is the 4th colum in from the left side of the memorial , 2 colums over from abe .
I looked up online and didnt see any errors listed like this and dont think its a lamination issue becuase its very shiney and looks very soild and matches the luster of the coin .the lamination errors i see posted on line look horrible as if the surface is comminbg of the coin.
LMk what you guys think any opinions ?
BTW i am new to this site and have some other stuff im gonna post and hope to be a reg here in the future. My first post
All my coins i collect are through circulation and i get them at face value . I own a icecream truck and kids all the time come running to the truck to me with hands full of change and often i get wheats, silver dimes, silver quaters mixed in last week just got a few mercs and a buffalo nickle

| I am by no means an expert on rthis, but it could possibly be a die chip. Hopefully, someone else will chime in. |
